Scorching heat has been suffered by Badlapur actor Varun Dhawan for over 10 hours while cycling in Chanderi for the shooting of Sui Dhaaga – Made in India with Anushka Sharma as the pillion. To ensure a realistic look for the movie, shooting has been going on at the location. For transportation in villages, use of bicycle is noticed generally. Therefore, same has been used in the movie too. It is said “From the characters’ looks to the costumes and elements, everything is relatable. This is extremely important for the makers as they draw to pull the audience into the film’s world.”
Recently, Varun has suffered from an injury in the shooting location of Sui Dhaaga as he has to tumble down through the stairs. The team has wanted to use a body double for the shoot. However, Varun has been too eager to do it himself.
During the scene, something has gone wrong. Therefore, Varun has to bear the pain on his shoulder. However, Badrinath Ki Dulhania actor has not wasted time at all and he has started to shoot only after few hours.
Cycling during winter may have been easy for Varun. However, weather of the location has altered suddenly. Therefore, Varun has to go through a troubled time as they have shot for almost entire day. One of the sources has said “People in the heartland use bicycles to commute. Varun and Anushka shot for over 10 hours on it in Chanderi. It’s already summer there and the Sun was beating down on them. By the end of the day, both were quite exhausted”
Make in India movement can be seen as the inspiration behind the movie. Character of Varun in the movie is called Mauji who is a tailor whereas Anushka’s character name is Mamta, an embroiderer.
