Reports have been heard that Sylvester Stallone’s Rambo is going to be remade in Bollywood starring Tiger Shroff. However, the movie has been pushed to 2021 end now. Heropanti actor has decided to become a part of this sports drama which is going to be delivered in two parts. Title of the drama is going to be Ganpat. The movie is helmed by Super 30 director Vikas Bahl. For the movie, set has been built in Mumbai. Tiger Shroff is playing role of an underdog boxer. Shooting of the movie is scheduled to begin post pandemic.
According to one of the sources close to the movie, “Ganpat is essentially a sports drama set in Mumbai with Tiger playing a boxer for the first time. Vikas has been working on the script for a while now and Tiger, who loves MMA, wrestling and boxing was looking to do a film in this space. When Vikas narrated the script to him, it was an instant ‘yes’ from Tiger.” Later, sources have added “Ganpat will be a two-film franchise, tracing the journey of Ganpat from a Mumbai boy to a world class boxer. Though it’s an action-packed film, at its core it’s an underdog story like Super 30, with an emotional father-son subplot. The search is on for a senior actor to play Tiger’s onscreen father.” Character name of Tiger Shroff in the movie is going to be Ganpat. In the movie, he is an earnest follower of Lord Ganesh.
Last Tiger Shroff has been featured in Baaghi 3 with Shraddha Kapoor. In spite of releasing just before the hit of Coronavirus pandemic, the movie has managed to earn 100 crore from the box office.
