Yes, Madhuri Dixit is here with a fresh song titled ‘Tabah Ho Gaye’. Following to iconic songs like Maar Daala (Devdas) and Ek Do Teen (Tezaab), Madhuri Dixit has come back once again with a great dance number. It is a heart touching song that has been sung by Shreya Ghoshal. Lyrics of the song have been written by Amitabh Bachchan and music has been given by Pritam Chakraborty. The song talks about the unrequited love. There is a sense of pathos in the song too. In the song, Madhuri has worn a red anarkali and looking gorgeous in it. During the song ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’, moves of Madhuri have been restraint as Alia Bhatt has been taking charge. However, Tabah Ho Gaye completely concentrates on Madhuri Dixit. ‘Tabah Ho Gaye’ has been choreographed by Saroj Khan and Remo D’Souza.
In Chitrakoot, Kalank song titled “Tabah Ho Gaye” has been shot. During interaction with Madhuri Dixit, she has said that the song has been rehearsed for only couple of days before the final shoot.
Regarding the song being choreographed by Saroj Khan, Madhuri has said “Sarojji is one of the choreographers I have collaborated with who goes beyond the surface of lyrics of a song when she choreographs. In cinema, we tend to create steps keeping the camera angle in mind. But Sarojji doesn’t limit the dance in physical movements. She finds a spiritual aspect and works on expressions. She knows how to make a woman look graceful and beautiful through a dance. Perhaps that is why every song we did together, holds a recall value even today. If the youngsters are still dancing to those numbers, I think we did something right.”
On asking whether classical numbers are fading away from Indian cinema, Madhuri has said “No, I do not agree with that at all. The audience is always intelligent. It is a wrong notion that youngsters only like hip-hop and western dance. After a long time, we have seen a dance like Ghar More Pardesiya and the audience has really loved the dance. It is a classical dance form that we have presented to the audience and they have enjoyed it. It only shows that if the dance is well-choreographed, no matter which form (of dance) it is, people will like it… people of all generations. I think that is the power of good dancing. I am quite confident about Tabah Ho Gaye also, because again it is a very emotional, poised, nicely choreographed song.”
Abhishek Varman is the director of movie Kalank. In this movie, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Adiya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha apart from Madhuri Dixit can be seen. Release of the movie is scheduled on 17th April.
