Recently, Namit Das has been seen in the web series Aarya with Sushmita Sen. The show has been praised. Performance of Namit has been loved also. During an interview, Namit has talked about Sushmita Sen and also about suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Praising Sushmita Sen, Namit has said “She is not a human being, she’s an aura. She floats around you. She can be sitting 10 miles away and yet, you can feel her presence. You can feel that she has entered the room and you’re close to her. I really don’t get people when they say she’s an actress of the ‘90s and that it’s her comeback. ‘Once an artist, always an artist’ is what I believe. It’s all about what is visible in the public eye. So she has come back in the public eye. You learn a lot just being with her. She not only has the talent but also the experience of the life that she’s lived. She’s poured all of it into Aarya. It’s really a privilege to even stand next to her.”
Regarding the issue of suicide, Namit has said “I don’t think you can do anything for anyone. One could be from any industry. What you are going through only you know. You are the best judge of that. People are saying that it’s very tough to survive in the entertainment industry and that puts a lot of emotional pressure. That leads to suicides. What I really want to ask people is why do you want to limit this only to the entertainment industry. Humanity is going through a lot. What you really need to do is take care of your own self. If you are able to take care of yourself, you can take care of 5 of your friends and they can take care of more people. Also, be kind to yourself before being kind to others. Most unkind people are not kind to their own selves.”
On the occasion, Namit has spoken about trolling also. He has said “I don’t like trolling. It’s very negative. If you search about a famous person online, the first thing that pops up on Google is the negative that has been generated against the person. We really need to curb that side of ours. It is not going to get us anywhere. We all have different point of views but that doesn’t mean that we have to pull each other down”
