For the last eight months, Rishi Kapoor has been staying in New York for his cancer treatment. Initially, it has been announced by Mulk actor that he will be staying away from limelight for some time as he is going NYC for medical treatment. Recently, it has been announced by the actor that he is cancer free now. However, he has to go through a bone marrow transplant in coming weeks. Rishi Kapoor has said, “My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. I will have to do a bone-marrow transplant which in all probability should take another two months minimum.” During Rishi Kapoor’s stay in New York, several Bollywood celebrities have met him.
Some time back, Deepika Padukone has gone to pay visit to the ailing actor post her Met Gala event in New York. Now, Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju co-star Vicky Kaushal has spent time with the Kapoor and Sons actor. Neetu Kapoor can be seen with them during the evening also.
Recently, Ranbir Kapoor has also talked about the health of his father also. He has said “It has been a hard one year for him. His desire and only endeavour in life is to act in movies. So this one-year sabbatical has been a little setback for him. But he is doing really well for himself.”
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal has been featured last in Uri: The Surgical Strike which has been a massive success at the box office. Right now, Vicky has been working on a horror comedy starring Bhumi Pednekar. In addition, he has also started the shooting of Shahid Udham Singh biopic that will be directed by Shoojit Sircar. Release of the movie is expected on 2020. Karan Johar’s Takht is in the hand of Vicky Kaushal also where he will be seen with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor.
