By looking at the trailer Raag Desh, you may be impressed certainly. The movie is certainly worth mentioning. The movie will come in the theatres on 28th July.
Role of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the freedom struggle has not been discussed much even in the history book. For liberating the country from the bondage of British, Netaji has formed the Azad Hind Fauj or INA. Lot of movie has not been made on the subject also. Except Shyam Benegal and his The Forgotten Hero, no one has ever really tried to tell the story.
Now, Paan Singh Tomar director Tigmanshu Dhulia has made a movie on infamous Red Fort Trial of the INA soldiers like Gurubaksh Singh Dhillon, Shah Nawaz Khan and Prem Sahgal. Trailers have been revealed now. The trial has been held on the month of November and December in the year 1945. During the time, general election has been going in India. In the charge of waging war, three of them have been prosecuted by then British Government. Indian Congress has fought for them. Kunal Kapoor will be seen in the role of Shah Nawaz Khan whereas Amit Sadh will appear as Gurubaksh Singh Dhillon. It is really nice to see Amit Sadh in this role. Mohit Marwah who has debuted in the movies with Fugly will be seen here as Prem Sahgal. Following to the trial, freedom has been given to India which is certainly significant in the course of things.
According to the director Tigmanshu Dhulia, it is certainly an interesting story about freedom movement that must be told. Indian freedom has come through sweat and blood instead of mere dialogues and negotiations. History is always written by the winners. Therefore, very little part about this freedom movement has been depicted in the history book. However, nothing about the mysterious death of Subash Chandra Bose has been included in the movie.
