In the month of October, Priyanka Chopra will be seen in the theatre with her latest Bollywood movie once again after a considerable amount of gap. For this movie, Priyanka has collaborated with Dil Dhadakne Do co-star Farhan Akhtar. Secret Superstar actor Zaira Wasim and Dear Zindagi actor Rohit Saraf will be seen in the movie also. Following to the release of trailer, it has generated a lot of buzz around. Dialogues mouthed by Zaira has attracted our attention also as she describes herself as the best villain. The movie is based upon the story of Aisha Chaudhury and her parents.
Premiere of the movie has happened recently at the Toronto International Film Festival. Screening has received a standing ovation from the audience. Director Shonali Bose has been quite keen to narrate story of parents who has lost their child due to pulmonary fibrosis. Talking about the movie and death of her own son, Shonali has said “My film is related to my son’s (Ishan) death, in a sense that I, too, have lost a child and so, understood the emotions deeply and could write easily about two parents and their grief. I was drawn to Aditi and Niren’s story because I found it inspiring.”
Priyanka has taken a lot of thing from Shonali’s story as she calls her son Ishaan in the movie Ishlu which is also Shonali’s son nickname. On the occasion, Shonali has also talked about an incident when Priyanka has been crying uncontrollably. She has said “Priyanka called Ishan ‘Ishlu’ which is not a name Aditi calls her son by. Priyanka heard me calling my Ishan that when I spoke about him and asked me, ‘Can I call him Ishlu in this scene?’ I just smiled from ear to ear. Another emotional shoot was when she had to break down after a scene. After I called ‘cut’, I hugged her and she couldn’t stop crying. She kept whispering, ‘I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry. I know now what it means to lose a child. I am so sorry for Ishlu.’ I continued holding her.”
Release of the movie The Sky is Pink will happen on 11th October. Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Siddharth Roy Kapur’s Roy Kapur Films have collaborated with Priyanka Chopra in order to produce the movie.
