Recently, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas have celebrated their first marriage anniversary. It is believed that the couple has watched the videos of their marriage ceremony on the day once again. Conversation between them has led to creation of a digital show based on one of the marriage ceremonies. Through a video posted by the couple, we have already got glimpses of the sangeet ceremony. By looking at the video, it can be said to be a regal affair. Now, the couple may come up with a show on Sangeet ceremony. It is expected to be an unscripted series that is all about this pre-wedding Indian tradition.
For the series, Amazon Prime has already given their nod. It has been said “The series will feature the couples along with their wedding party, family, and friends, as they not only prepare for the wedding itself, but also rehearse for the performances with the help of a team of celebrity choreographers, stylists, and creative directors.” Casting for the project is going on now. Shooting of the project is going to begin from 2020.
On the occasion, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has told the Variety magazine “We re-watched the video of our Sangeet last week on our first anniversary, and the togetherness of our family and friends during this event still sparks the same warmth and excitement that it did just over a year ago at our wedding…… The Sangeet is a centuries-old Indian wedding tradition, that not only celebrates the union of two people, but also signifies the introduction and bonding of two families coming together in a marriage”
During the time, Priyanka has also said that if anyone is going to be married in 2020 summer or spring and likes to have grand pre-wedding then they can easily contact them.
Excited about the process, Nick Jonas has said “The days leading up to our Sangeet were some of the most special, memorable moments of the weekend… Bringing the concept of this musical celebration to the mainstream in a new way, through couples setting out on one of the most exciting journeys of their life, is an idea that we are proud to bring to life with Amazon.”
