Recently, Alia Bhatt has completed the second schedule of Sadak 2 which will be directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt. In this movie, Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur will be seen also. Finishing the movie, Alia Bhatt is expected to start the prep for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known to be a hard task master. Till now, he has never compromised with his movies. Sanjay wants to create a perfect world with the sets and characters. For Gangubai Kathiawadi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali wants to do the same also. Therefore, he wants to appoint a dialect tutor for Alia and he has been searching for a good one at the moment.
In the movie, Alia Bhatt’s character hails from Kathiawadi. Therefore, she needs to learn certain dialect for the movie. According to our source, paternal grandfather of Alia Bhatt has been a Gujarati Brahmin named Nanabhai Bhatt from Kathiawad. However, Alia is not accustomed with the dialect of the location at all. It is a kind of dialect that may not be seen outside Kathiawad at all. Being a meticulous person, Sanjay Leela Bhansali wants someone as a tutor who is fluent in the dialect. For this reason, Sanjay has already talked with some of the Gujarati theatre personalities like Supriya Pathak and Manoj Joshi for the research. Shooting of the movie will be done simultaneously as Alia takes diction class for a month.
Character of Alia Bhatt in the movie is of a fierce madam from Kamathipura in 1960s named Gangubai Kothewali. She has alliance with gangster and drug peddlers since they are her clients. It is the first time when Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Alia Bhatt will be working together in a movie.
