Bhumi Pednekar has already made a mark in Bollywood with her performances in different kinds of movies. She has debuted in Hindi movie industry with Dum Laga Ke Haisha opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. It has been unusual role for a debutant without any doubt. Later on, she has been seen in the movies like Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Lust Stories, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Saand Ki Aankh, Son Chiriya and Pati Patni Aur Woh. Recently, Bhumi Pednekar has been featured in Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare by Lipstick under my Burkha fame director Alankrita Shrivastava. In this movie, Bhumi has shared screen with Konkana Sen Sharma. Several awards have been won by Bhumi Pednekar in the past.
On asking, why Bhumi Pednekar is preferred by the directors for pulling off any role. Son Chiriya actress has said “I have to say that I have definitely explored and experimented with roles and cinema in a very short span of time which has probably made everyone believe that I’m always looking to do something new every time I come on screen. It is a correct assumption because I’m creatively very restless.”
Talking about her artistic objective, Bhumi has said “I have pushed myself constantly and I will do so in every film that I sign because deep down inside I want to test myself. I want to see how much I can push and reinvent myself on screen. I have a personal ambition to never fit into a mould as an artiste.”
On the occasion, Bhumi Pednekar has also talked about her legacy plan. She has said “I want to do be remembered as someone who constantly gave audiences something new and was not afraid to constantly try something new. I want to be remembered as someone who was unafraid to experiment and presented myself in the most diverse avatars possible.”
