Recently, Ishaan Khatter has been seen in the Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy that is aired on Netflix. Later on, he has been seen gangster drama Khaali Peeli. Now, Ishaan is expected to jump onto his next project which is a war drama. It has been titled as Pippa. In this movie, Ishaan is expected to play the role of a war veteran. Earlier, we have been informed that Ishaan is playing the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. Now, entire cast for the movie has been revealed also.
Coming to Instagram, Ishaan Khatter has announced that Super 30 fame actor Mrunal Thakur and Mirzapur fame actor Priyanshu Painyuli have been joining him in Pippa. Sharing a picture with Mrunal and Priyanshu, Ishaan has captioned it as “We’re coming with all guns blazing. Welcome to the #Pippa troop, fam @mrunalofficial201 & @priyanshupainyuli @rajamenon #RonnieScrewvala #SiddharthRoyKapur @rsvpmovies @roykapurfilms” In addition, yesteryear actor Soni Razdan is expected to be a part of the movie also. Information regarding Soni Razdan has been revealed by trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
On the social media, the news has been shared by Mrunal also. She has said “2020 just got so much better ! This squad is all set to roar, excited to be a part of such a wonderful team!
Director of the movie Pippa is Raja Krishna Menon who has previously helmed the movie Airlift. Based on the book titled ‘The Burning Chaffees’, the movie will be made that has been penned by Brigadier Mehta. Title of the movie has been inspired from Russian war tank PT-76 that is known among the Indian soldiers as Pippa. Background of the movie is 1971 Indo-Pakistan War.
Release of the movie is scheduled on later next year. Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur are producing the movie.
