It is the Indian ice-cream that everyone craves for. At restaurants one can order kulfis of various kinds. But you no longer have to visit hotels to eat your kulfi.
It can be made at home and the recipe is nothing difficult. You need milk. Boil 1 liter of milk and reduce it to about ¼ liter. Add some cardamom powder and saffron while stirring. Next add some sugar and stir.
But remember to use full fat milk. Once the mixture cools, pout it into moulds and fridge. After about 6 hours you can take the moulds out and soak them in hot water for 5 mins or so, till the kulfi starts coming out.
Don’t forget to add chopped nuts – pista, kaju.
Do you also know of Falooda? It’s another summer time relish. You can make faloods with kulfi too.
