It’s been 9 days and Jagga Jasoos hasn’t reached anywhere near the Rs 50 crore mark. For a film made on such a big budget, it should have earned that much in the first weekend itself. However, it’s struggling to stay relevant at the box office and that can be gauged by its box office earnings. As of now the film could only amass Rs 43.75 crores.
Jagga Jasoos was in the making for three years and Ranbir Kapoor even joked about it saying how they measured the time it took to get made with Shah Rukh Khan‘s son AbRam‘s age. So that makes it 4 years old. For a film, which is that old, it was bound to be difficult to make the cut. But the trailer got some good response which made makers hopeful that people are interested in the film. However, close to the release, the buzz dwindled and with it the craze also got affected. A 20 percent occupancy was enough to say what the film will score in the coming days. But the Saturday-Sunday collections were better and the film took flight. But then Monday happened and since then it is following a downward spiral. Check out the latest box office figures of Jagga Jasoos right here…
#JaggaJasoos continues to dwindle… Fri 8.57 cr, Sat 11.53 cr, Sun 13.07 cr, Mon 4.05 cr, Tue 3.48 cr, Wed 3.05 cr. Total: ₹ 43.75 cr.

No wonder the makers have already shelved the sequel to the film. That’s because this kind of movie takes a lot of time and money to get made. In fact, they were not too keen about it from the start and now bad collections has only given them the perfect reason to stick to their resolve.
