“It’s A Woman’s Perspective On Relationships, What They Want” – Discloses Taapsee Pannu About Her Upcoming Movie Thappad By Anubhav Sinha

Anubhav Sinha And Taapsee Pannu In Tapaad

Just few months after the release of Article 15 starring Ayushmann Khurrana on 28th June, director Anubhav Sinha has announced about his next. In this movie, Taapsee Pannu will be seen as the lead. Previously, both Anubhav Sinha and Taapsee Pannu have worked together in Mulk. During a chat, Anubhav Sinha has revealed that they have already started to shoot the movie. Shooting of his upcoming movie Thappad is expected to be wrapped by the middle of October. Background of the movie has been set in capital Delhi. For this movie, the director has shot mostly in Lucknow.

For a long time, director Anubhav Sinha has an idea in his mind about a story on the relationship between man and woman. However, the idea has not formed completely within his mind. So, Anubhav explains It was while discussing it with Taapsee that I was convinced that the story had enough meat to be pursued further.On the occasion, Taapsee has revealed that she has been interested in this story from the moment she has heard about it. For this content, Taapsee and Anubhav feel very strongly.

Due to encouragement from Taapsee, Anubhav Sinha has started to work on the script in collaboration with Mrunmayee Lagoo. Lives of eight different characters will be showcased in the movie.

Revealling little bit about the story of movie, Taapsee has said It’s a woman’s perspective on relationships, what they want, with a common thread linking them. In addition to Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Tanvi Azmi, Ratna Pathak Shah, Naila Grewal, Maya Sarao, Gracy Goswami and Geetika Vidya are also important part of this movie.

According to our source, the story is about violence on women. It also shows the notion of taking for granted in a relationship. Director Anubhav Sinha has said furtherIt’s a tragedy that we label women. We conveniently put them on a pedestal, then, use them. My film is not pro-feminists, it is about women. Period.
