Dharmendra-Sharmila Tagore and Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bhaduri starrer 1975 movie Chupke Chupke is considered to be a classic. It has been an entertaining movie which has been making people laugh for ages. Now, a remake of the movie will be made. According to the reports, talented actor Rajkummar Rao will be seen as the lead here. Regarding playing the character of Dr. Parimal Tripathi in Chupke Chupke remake, Stree actor Rajkummar Rao has said “It’s a big responsibility to step into his shoes. The scripting is underway now. We know that we can’t match Hrishida’s (Hrishikesh Mukherjee, director) standard, but we will try and put our best foot forward.”
Recently, Rajkummar Rao has been offered a sequel of Dostana also. However, he has not able to sign the movie due to date issues. On the occasion, he has said “My next project, opposite Priyanka Chopra, will be shot during the same time. But it’s a great script and Colin D’Cunha, the director, is my classmate from FTII.”
Right now, Rajkummar is busy with the promotion of his upcoming movie Made in China with Mouni Roy which is going to release during Diwali. Paresh Rawal, Boman Irani, Amyra Dastur and Sumeet Vyas are part of this movie also. About releasing the movie, he has said “It has a U/A certification, the jokes are cracked by responsible actors who won’t do anything crass and the humour is situational, the kind you can watch with family.” At the box office, the movie is going to clash with Saand Ki Aankh and Housefull 4.
