Ranveer Singh is quite busy with the promotion of his latest film Befikre. However, before the release date he might be in some problems with legal issues due to one of his endorsements.
Along with the National Commission of Women (NCW), a Delhi-based lawyer lodged a complaint against Ranveer Singh as he was seen in the controversial sexiest Jack and Jones ad. The lawyer found the ad offensive where Ranveer appeared as if he was insulting women through the menswear company’s advertisement. In fact, the lawyer felt that the ad presented women in a derogatory manner. He has also appealed to the NCW for issuing a legal notice against the brand and the Bollywood actor, as reported by the news sources.

The name of the lawyer is Gaurav Gulati had seen the advertisement of Jack & Jones company on hoarding, social media and some online news reports where Ranveer Singh could be seen in the pose of singling a woman on his shoulder. In his own works, he found the advertisement was “…suggesting that women are nothing more than objects. Then there’s a punch line by the side that says ‘Do Not Hold Back, Take Your Work Home’.” To his, this advertisement had degraded the status of women and a violation of gender equality.
After this complaint, they said ad was much trolled on social media. As soon as Ranveer came to know about this controversy, he issued an apology. In fact, the ad was removed all the hoarding featuring it. Befikre actor stated, “It was important to give the brand creative freedom while designing their campaign, but I guess we got it wrong on one of those billboards and I’m sorry this happened but it’s a thing of the past.”
The actor also added, “I treat all women with the utmost respect both professionally and personally and would never do anything to disrespect them.”
