Honouring Dharmendra With Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award

This year, Maharastra Government has decided to bestow honour on veteran actor Dharmendra with Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award. Through Twitter Vinod Tawde, Minister of Education and Cultural Affair in Maharastra has declared about the award. During the time, it is also said that Raj Kapoor Special Contributions Award will be given to 3 Idiots director Rajkumar Hirani. It is written  by Tawde on Twitter, Delighted to announce veteran actor Dharmendraji as the recipient of Maharashtra State’s Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award and director Rajkumar Hirani on being selected for the Raj Kapoor Special Contributions Award. Congratulations!

In order to thank the Government of Maharastra and Tawde, Dharmendra has tweeted Thank you Government of Maharashtra & Honourable Minister Of Cultural Affairs @TawdeVinod for the prestigious Maharashtra State’s Raj Kapoor Lifetime Achievement Award. I feel honoured for the love and respect bestowed upon me. Congratulations to the fellow recipients!!  (sic)”

During 55th Maharastra State Marathi Film Festival, the award will be given to Dharmendra. In the Bollywood, Dharmendra has a long career. He has been referred as “He-Man” in the past due to his presence in lots of action movies. One of his notable characters in an illustrious career has been ‘Viru’ from Sholay that has released in the year 1975. In spite of 82 years of age, Dharmendra is pretty agile. In fact, he will be seen soon in Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 with his two sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.  Special appearance will be made in the movie by Shatrughan Sinha, Salman Khan, Rekha and Sonakshi Sinha.
