In the beginning of his career, Vicky Kaushal has been seen in small roles in the movie such as Bombay Velvet and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. However, his big break has come with Masan which has acclaimed by the critics worldwide. Later on, Vicky has made his footing secure in Bollywood with the movies like Sanju, Raazi, Love per Square Foot and Manmarziyaan. Being a talented and loved actor in Bollywood, he is now preparing for his next release Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship now. He has been signed for Shhojit Sircar’s Udham Singh biopic also. Post shooting of Shoojit Sircar’s movie, Vicky Kaushal is expected to start prep for Karan Johar’s historical drama Takht. In this movie, an ensemble cast will be seen with Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor.
In this movie, Ranveer Singh is expected to play the character of Dara Shikoh who is the eldest son of Mughal emperor Shahjahan while role of youngest Aurangzeb will be played by Vicky Kaushal. Therefore, it will be surely a challenge for Vicky to put up a performance opposite Ranveer Singh. On asking about this, humble Vicky Kaushal has said that he has never thought of outperforming Ranveer Singh in the movie. He is just too happy to share screen with Padmaavat actor Ranveer Singh. On the occasion, Vicky Kaushal has also revealed that he has a strong bond with Ranveer. Gully Boy actor Ranveer has been offering him guidance always.
