Time and again, Deepika Padukone has proved that she is one versatile actor in Bollywood. She has showcased her talent as an actor in the movies like Cocktail, Bajirao Mastani, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Piku and Padmaavat. Once again, Deepika is expected to mesmerize us in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak. According to Deepika, Chhapaak is certainly one of the toughest roles in her career. In this movie, Deepika is playing role of an acid attack survivor.
Right now, Deepika is busy with the movie promotion. During an interview, Deepika has said that she has been playing the character of Malti here who is an acid attack survivor. On the occasion, she has tried to understand how it feels when life changes overnight due to an acid attack. She has said “I had to go through it without having to go through it.” In this movie, Vikrant Massey will be seen opposite Deepika Padukone as Amol who has been supporting her fight. Taking an analogy, Deepika has said that her husband Ranveer Singh as well a Meghna Gulzar’s spouse Govind has confirmed her belief in the existence of good men.
Thanking Ranveer Singh, Deepika has said “I’d have a long day but I didn’t feel anxious about whether he would be upset about me coming home late or because I hadn’t called. I have been in relationships where I didn’t have that. When you don’t have to worry about such things, it allows you to focus on work.”
Regarding reaction of Ranveer on Chhapaak trailer, Deepika has said that Ram Leela actor has become very emotional just like her. Release of Chhapaak is scheduled on 10th January, 2020.
