Following to posters and teaser of Durgamati The Myth, now trailer of the Bhumi Pednekar starrer has released. Initially, the movie has been titled as Durgavati. However, it has been changed to Durgamati The Myth now. Bhumi Pednekar is playing the lead in the movie. In the teaser, we have already seen that Bhumi is taking an avatar of a goddess. She sits on the throne with vengeance on her eyes.

Through the trailer, some more details about the movie have been revealed. It shows that Bhumi is a prisoner turned Durgamati. In the beginning of trailer, Durgamati Temple can be seen. Next, Arshad Warsi is shown who is playing role of a politician called Ishwar Prasad. He is believer in ‘people’s power’ instead of ‘people in power’. Due to his increase in power, Arshad Warsi’s contemporaries conspire against him.

Politics creates backdrop of the movie. Long time after Mahie Gill is going to be seen in this movie. She is expected to be seen as rough and tough cop. Mahie is in charge of the case about stolen idol from the temple. Bhumi Pednekar‘s character is called Chanchal Chauhan. It seems that she has been kept behind the bar due to a murder. Now, Chanchal has been taken by the cops in order to create trouble for Ishwar Prasad. During stay at Durgamati Haveli, spooky incidents have started to happen.

In the backdrop of the trailer, quick paced music is used. Horror scenes and VFX have been part of the movie also. Transition of Bhumi Pednekar from Chanchal to Durgamati is quite charismatic. However, it is also pretty chaotic and confusing.

Telugu movie called Bhaagmathie starring Anushka Shetty is remade in Hindi as Durgamati starring Bhumi Pednekar. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Akshay Kumar have collaborated together for this movie. Durgamati The Myth is releasing on 11th December through Amazon Prime Video.
