Right now, director Anurag Basu is busy with the shoots of his upcoming untitled movie which is expected to be on the line of his earlier movie Life in a Metro. However, Anurag has been thinking about his next movie already which is expected to come with the title ‘Imli’. Previously, Kangana Ranaut is expected to be part of the movie. However, she has walked out of this movie in the end.
Following to the walk out of Kangana, makers have been looking for a lead. Now, name of Deepika Padukone is being considered for the part. It is believed that Deepika has been already approached for the movie with a script. Conversations between the director and actress have been quite positive on the occasion.
According to a source, “Kangana Ranaut had walked out of filmmaker Anurag Basu’s forthcoming movie Imli citing difference in opinion. As the two of them couldn’t reunite after Gangster and Life In A Metro, the filmmaker has now approached Deepika Padukone to play the lead role in the film. As Deepika is busy with Chhapaak, the conversations between the filmmaker and the actress have been more than positive.”
In the past, director Anurag has denied the reports of Kangana walking out from the movie. It has been said then that Kangana is scheduled to begin the shoots of Imli last November. However, it has not become possible due to reshoots of Manikarnika. So, Anurag has decided to start another project. On the other hand, Kangana has also become busy with Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s Panga.
Deepika has been shooting for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak now. Release of the movie is scheduled on 10th January, 2020.
