After the release on December 23, Aamir Khan’s Dangal has already set fire on the box office. In the opening Christmas weekend, the film earned a massive Rs 106.95 crore. According to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, a detailed report of Dangal’s box office collection came in our hands. And it is just FANTABULOUS!
Do you know how much Dangal bagged on its first three days? Its Friday collection is Rs 29.78 crore, Saturday Rs 34.82 crore whereas Sunday collection is a whopping Rs 42.35 crore. That means Dangal earned total Rs 106.95 crore (Including Tamil and Telegu) in three days.
Now if we compare the amount with Salman Khan’s Sultan first three day’s collection, it will show us that Dangal has already beaten up Sultan in respect of first three day’s collection. Sultan earned Rs 105.34 crore in comparison to Dangal’s Rs 106.95 crore. But though Dangal has beaten Sultan in terms of first three day’s collection, it may not beat Sultan’s first weekend collection which still stands out as a staggering amount of Rs 180.36 crore in the 5 day weekend.
Audience has been praising about Dangal, not only for Aamir Khan’s performance, but also for the Dangal girls’ performances. The strong action scenes, the powerful message and the Haryanvi dialogues are what people are discussing everywhere. Now we can expect that Dangal can earn Rs 160-180 crore within its first week of release. Moreover, it can also beat the lifetime collection of Salman Khan’s Sultan and create a new record of Rs 400 crore box office club.
So, in Dangal vs. Sultan’s battle, round 1’s point goes to Aamir Khan Dangal. Let’s see what happens next…
