Beautiful Bhumi Pednekar is a part of Dharma Productions horror movie Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship. Last release of Bhumi has been Abhishek Chaubey’s Sonchiriya with Sushant Singh Rajput and Manoj Bajpayee. The movie has not done too well at the box office. However, performance of Bhumi has been appreciated by the critics. Now, Bhumi has been gearing up for her upcoming movies.
The horror flick titled Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship is scheduled to release on February, 2020. It is the first time when Bhumi has become part of a movie from horror genre. Here, she will be seen with Uri: The Surgical Strike actor Vicky Kaushal. Story of a haunted abandoned ship will be told through the movie which has been found in a static form close to the beach. Bhanu Pratap Singh has directed the movie while it has been produced by Karan Johar and Hiroo Johar along with Shashank Khaitan and Apoorva Mehta.
During an interview, Bhumi has revealed that she has been quite hesitant to work in a horror movie. On the occasion, she has said “No. I had read the script and the director is a very dear friend of mine and I known about Bhoot… since it’s inception and I knew this one is going to be a genre-breaking film. It’s a film that is really going to change the language of horror in India.”
About his co-star Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi has revealed “Vicky is such a phenomenal actor. For the love of the script and people involved with the film I just had to do it and I have a lot of faith in Bhanu as a director he’s very promising.”
In addition to Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, Vicky Kaushal will be seen in Dolly Kitty Aur Chamakte Sitare with Konkona Sensharma and Saand Ki Aankh with Taapsee Pannu in coming days. She is also part of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala and Pati Patni Aur Woh with Karthik Aaryan and Ananya Panday.
