Yet again, a teaser has been released by Netflix of their upcoming anthology movie named Ajeeb Daastaans. Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment has been producing the movie. Four directors Neeraj Ghaywan, Kayoze Irani, Shashank Khaitan and Raj Mehta have come together to complete this anthology movie. An ensemble cast is expected to be seen in the movie. Talented actors like Abhishek Banerjee, Armaan Ralhan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Inayat Verma, Konkona Sen Sharma, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Manav Kaul, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Shefali Shah are part of this anthology project.
Describing the anthology, Netflix has written with the post “Ajeeb Daastaans will showcase four diverse stories exploring human flaws and emotions like jealousy, entitlement, prejudices and toxicity, which are often entangled at the heart of a relationship. The films raise questions that will leave you with a dilemma between what’s right and what’s wrong as the lines get blurred.”
In addition, it has been also written “Four shorts explore the surprising ways in which unexpected catalysts inflame the uncomfortable emotions simmering under fractured relationships.”
Neeraj Ghaywan, Sumit Saxena, Shashank Khaitan and Uzma Khan have written Ajeeb Daastaans that is going to premiere on 16th April, 2021 through Netflix.
During the announcement of 2021 Netflix slate, Karan Johar has been present where the movie has been hinted for the first time. Previously, Karan Johar has also produced couple of anthologies Lust Stories and Ghost Stories. Both of them have released on Netflix. He has also bankrolled Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Lives for Netflix and few movies like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Drive.
