Next on the line for Ajay Devgan is Maidaan that will be directed by Badhaai Ho fame director Amit Sharma. Backdrop of the movie will be a time between 1952 and 1962 which is considered as golden era for Indian football. In this movie, Ajay is expected to play role of a football coach named Syed Abdul Rahim. He is known to be the coach who has shaped the Indian modern football.
Sharing the poster on social media, Ajay Devgan has declared that shooting of the movie has already begun. In this movie, National Award winning South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh is expected to be seen opposite Ajay Devgan.
Boney Kapoor and Zee Studious will present the movie while it is produced by Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla. Screenplay for the movie has been written by Saiwyn Quadros. Credits for the dialogues should be given to Ritesh Shah. Release of the movie will be seen in next year.
Simultaneously Ajay Devgn is also shooting for Bhuj: The Pride of India. Here, Ajay is playing the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik. During Indo-Pak war in 1972, he has been in-charge of Bhuj air base. Sanjay Dutt is part of the movie also. Munnabhai actor is expected to be seen as Ranchordas Svabhai Ravai who has helped the Indian army. Sonakshi Sinha and Parineeti Chopra are part of the movie too. Abhishek Dudhaiya is directing the movie and it will release on 14th August, 2020.
However, next release of Ajay Devgan at the box office will be Om Raut’s Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior. It is a period war drama that is made in a huge budget of 150 crore. Saif Ali Khan and Kajol will be seen in this movie too.
