Summer means scorching heat, constant perspiration, constantly sipping in your favorite cold drinks, eating those flavored thandai …..and of course, those irritating skin rashes known as prickly heat. Prickly heat can grow anywhere on your body and cause constant prickling or stinging sensation. These are more vulnerable to develop neck, chest, forehead, back and thighs after exposing sometimes on hot temperature.
That’s why here we are sharing some homely remedies of prevent prickly heat –
Due to the cooling and soothing effect on your skin, applying yoghurt on the affected areas of prickly heat is always a good solution. Once you apply on the skin leave it for 15 minutes to dry and then wash the layer with cold water. But you should never rub on your itching skin.
Another natural remedy for prickly heat prevention is sandalwood. However, it is a time taking matter. You should mix the sandalwood powder with full fat cold milk and apply the pack on your affected skin. Once it dries, wash it off with cold water.
#3 Fuller’s Earth
Everyone knows that fuller’s earth or multani mitti is a great friend of your skin. It produces a cooling effect on the skin; however, it not only prevents the prickly heat, but also soothes and cools the skin instantly.
Make a smooth paste of 3 tbsp fuller’s earth, 2 tsp mint paste and enough cold milk and apply it on the skin. Now let it dry and it is better to sit beneath the fan. After drying out the pack, you can remove it with a soft towel.
